Fatal Accidents and Sudden Deaths Inquiry (Scotland) Act 1976 Inquiry into the circumstances of the death of Gary Ackland

Under section 6(1) of the Fatal Accidents and Sudden Deaths Inquiry Scotland Act 1976 the sheriff principal examined the circumstances of the death, on 28 June 2006, of Gary Ackland (32) who was in lawful custody at HM Prison, Porterfield, Inverness after having been found hanging in his cell with multiple lacerations to his wrists.
